Braved the 200 + stairs at this monument. Meditated on the way back up ( a lot), this is a great new term that this old hiker learned from a fellow adventurer and I like it! - meditating=resting.
Any way, this is day one of Flash of Red. I am playing with landscapes for the first week, full contrast but done post so tomorrow an in camera adjustment is on taps.
@lsquared Thank you so very much for the fav. @brett101 Thank you, truly appreciate it. the steps are good for me, so they say:):) @susale Thank you a great deal. It as almost 50f (10c) so I knew that there wouldn't be much ice to deal with. @graemestevens Thank you very much for the fav. I was looking sadly up at the stairs and then decided to turn around and say this shot. @naomi Thank you, I never miss a chance to rest. This canyon has many areas of over-hangs that the Native Americans used as shelter about 800 years ago. @stephanies Thank you kindly for the fav, truly appreciate it. The sun was high when I took this and I was lucky with the clouds. @linnypinny Thank you so very much for the fav. @jerome I am very grateful for the fav, this little canyon has many different ancient dwellings. @blueberry1222 I admit that I haven't walked the steps in a few years. It seems that they haven't lost any recently.
