Drove for an evening dog rescue run. The trip to the rendezvous was still light enough to try some shots. I normally do not enjoy driving in the dark but this run was for deaf puppies, how could I say no. One was a bit talkative for a while. They are going to new rescues who specialize in deaf dogs.
This was shot as I was driving to get the pups along I-40 at 75 mph. I focused the camera on infinity with an exposure of f8, 1/800, ISO 250, and used my 50mm. A tad flat but if I could I would make use of editland.
The word for today is "long exposure". Not a photographic definition but the building has experienced long exposure to the elements so I felt that maybe this image would fit.
@jernst1779 There is a whole lot of nothing in Northern Arizona. The openness is amazing. I was driving and pointing my camera out the front window of my car and got lucky with what was in focus.
@ziggy77 It does go on what seems forever. There is a special quiet in the vast nothingness in the part of Northern Arizona.
@golftragic I am so happy to be a part of their second chance. I do admit that I wish I could have been hugging the pup who was 'singing' but that wouldn't have been anywhere close to safe for either of us.
Delighted to know that you're able to support such a worthy cause. Thank you on their behalf and to all, including yourself, in providing such a service that can and will bring solace to many.
@haskar Thank you, the stark beauty of the vastness takes a bit of appreciation. I happen to like the quiet. @s4sayer I love being able to help out, I also get my dog fix. I haven't gotten over loosing my Holly a few years back so to hold and help out the dogs and pups helps me a great deal. @pusspup I was bad and somewhat stupid, I was driving but I didn't focus on anything just set the camera to infinity and pointed in the general direction. @yaorenliu You are so very kind, thank you. I am lucky to be a small part of their journey to a second chance.
