A new lake in LA. The county took 2 years to create this master piece. An old wetlands that had been neglected for many years now has a new lease on life and brings so much to an area that needed a bit of zen. This lake is called Lake Machado, and is near San Pedro.
wonderful looking lake, reflections and tone. I find it interesting that wetlands are being seen as better made into a lake, over here, the wildlife in wetlands is seen as very endangered and that there's a need to preserve wetlands
@golftragic My sister tells me that they hadn't announced what was being done and that made it much more special to see the final outcome. Truly grateful for the fav.
@shannejw In a city as car crazy as Los Angeles it is a leap of genius to 'create' such a place and to think that there isn't a ticket gate anywhere near. They do close it at dusk and try to make it less homeless attractable. I wish more leaps like this could be made world wide.
@haskar I was very happy to see the moon, LA has so few stars that shine.
