Aspens and distant smoke

Drove up to the local sky area, Arizona Snow Bowl (9,200 ft) to see what the aspens were up to. A healthy year it seems. I enjoyed a quiet and peaceful hike. The sky to the west was hazy as there is a controlled burn in progress.
Beautiful black and white- the light through the trees is wonderful and almost makes it look like there is snow on the trees. Great shot!

@olivetreeann Thank you so very much. I forgot to mention that this is an infrared monotone so the foliage does have a snowy look.

@golftragic Most grateful, thank you so much. The peace and quiet on the mountain today was special.

I like the way this shot includes closeup detail and also a distant vista.

@joysabin Isn't it great when you get one of those days?

@haskar You are so kind, thank you ever so much for the fav.

@shannejw Thank you so very much. This time of year just a few brave souls venture up there.

@gardencat To be honest it was the log and the small plant that caught my eye. I try to previsualize when I shoot IR since the final image comes out rather different from what I see. My exposure on the log was off but I am still learning.

@jernst1779 Thank you so much for the fav. I really like the aspens wish I had a few in my yard.
