Okay, I am officially GONE, stepped into the nether world of weirdness! This morning I decided to stalk my vacuum cleaner (Rosie the Roomba) while she made her rounds around my house.
Yes we named our Roomba, after the maid robot from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, "The Jetsons". I love my Roomba as she does what I don't- keeps a cleaning schedule and follows it. My dog RIley isn't all that impressed by her but still avoids being in the house when Rosie is cleaning.
Joy, you are certainly no more weird than we are! The more different we are, the more we learn and the more we enjoy life...its ups, downs, differences and hiccups.
@robz She loves the tile, watching one of these clean is like watching a very drunk sailor.
@kali66 We do have to get "ready" for her. She doesn't like throw rugs and has 'chewed up' a cord or two but all in all she does a job that I always used to forget.
I love that your roomba is named after the Jetsons’ maid. And this is a fun shot. I love seeing the creative and unusual on this site. Really inspires a “rule-follower” like myself to take some chances and expand my creativity. Keep it up!
@amyk Rules, smules! The things that I have learned in the most supportive and creative community are too many list. I truly love the supportive environment. I get to really try some off the wall ideas and things here. Don't draw between the lines!
LOL too funny- I think we all have photos we took and can relate to your tale! I see these all over the place and am tempted to look into one as my vacuum is not sucking up the dirt the way it used to in spite of being cleaned and pronounced clog free!
@ninaganci I do highly recommend them, anything does some of the dirty work is a friend for life.
@sdutoit She can be fun to watch as they have random patterns when they work.
@taffy Only the truly strange stalk vacs but seriously, I do appreciate it.
@olivetreeann The best thing about Rosie, she just does her job. Okay, she can get caught but she lets out a warning -"Move Roomba to new location". I've found her stuck under end tables at times. Still, do recommend them.
@fbailey I like her better, I don't have to tip her, just buy new a battery and filters every other year or so. If I had a maid, I'd pre-clean because I'd be embarrassed how dirty my house was.
@lostphojo As I say, normal is just a setting on the drier anyway. :):):)
