When I began my 365 project I had started to walk daily as therapy after an accident. I still walk regularly but since moving I walk a bit less often and better protected -hopefully. I now walk on country roads without sidewalks so, I've taken to wearing a day-glo vest. I've seen others do the same around here.
This is for the 1st week of the Capture One weekly challenge - a selfie which explains a bit about me.
As a driver, I think the day-go vest is a great idea. I know some drivers are reckless and drive way too fast but I also think that too often pedestrians don't think about how their actions and their choice of clothing can add to their danger.
Hope your country roads don't have folks that think they're raceways. Stay safe! I'd love to walk my country roads but idiot speeders are a real problem.
We love to walk!
…three mornings a week (MWF) at the gym, because we do strength training too. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday we walk outside if it isn’t raining (this is Seattle, after all) EACH of these days we top it off with “Coffee Talk” at Thruline Coffee, our favorite coffee house in Kirkland. It;s the simple things that become the most meaningful.
Nice selfie. Sounds like an interesting challenge. Some people in my neighborhood are wearing day-glo vests, since many of our streets don't have sidewalks.
