PMAE NO 151

This is sooc. It is also just a test and learn shot for today. This is my old(30+years) Vivitar 80-200mm 4.5 macro focusing zoom lens on my Sony A6000- thanks to the adapter from Fotasy. Now the focus is completely manual but I usually don't go for action shots so I have great hopes for this adapter.

Best on Black
I think you have got a bargain , with your adapter..

@jack4john I believe I did, thank you. There is a rising school of thought about the need or desire for lack of precise clarity in photography. This lens is heavy but love the macro part of it.

A great shot. I like the rich warm tones. Looks really good on black.

@megpicatilly I feel so lucky that I discovered that I can use this old lens. I did find out that my Sony won't adjust the exposure compensation when the old lens is attached, not sure why?

The lens is still good, some of the old lenses could give very sharp images.. though my very old Super Takumars were prone to flare. Manual is good.. that way you get what you want in focus.

You have inspired me. I've been thinking of trying some old lenses on my Sony A6000. I have an adaptor but did not do very well with focusing. I'll try again!

@yrhenwr I am very happy that I didn't bid nor buy a used zoom for this camera on ebay. The adapter is going to make me slow down and take my time, which is a good thing.

@eudora I often pull out my cheaters (reading glasses) to focus but strangely enough I didn't need them this time. I wonder since I have adapted my diopter on this camera for my eyes that I won't need the cheaters as much. I'll keep playing and let you know.
