Went south today for a dog rescue run. This is Lichen Lane in Cordes Junction Arizona which about 75 miles away from Flag(staff). I saw puddles and had to stop even if there wasn't any lichen to be seen.
I shot this using my old mid range vivitar 35-70mm lens on my Sony A6000. This is the best of both old and new. I get the beauty of using my old lens with the functionality of digital toys. Yes, it is manual focus lens and a bit heavy but with the extra bells and whistles of the A6000 I can get the sharpness I want. I also have a vivitar zoom that I will be playing around with. So glad that I am a photographic pack-rat.
@irisn Thank you kindly for the fav. The A6000 is fun but blows my mind with what it can do. I like the weight but all the electronics have me on a steep learning curve. Some day I might 'get' it.
@mbrutus So grateful for the fav, thank you kindly. The old vivitar still has it and I am glad. I was going to buy a new (or at least dream about) longer lens bu then settled on an adapter for my Minolta lenses. I do really do much fast action work so manual is much more to my liking and budget.
@haskar Even with the mud puddles?, but really thank you so very much.
@jernst1779 Thank you so kindly, I felt lucky to go south and see the sun. It was cold and rainy up north in Flagstaff.
@taffy Thank you so much. I hadn't seen that before, it is the lady of the mud.
@joysabin You get great results with your manual lenses. I have one manual focus fisheye. And I like manual focusing for macro shots of flowers, and portraits and when the foreground branches fool the autofocus on some perched bird shots. But other times the autofocus lenses do a fine job. Especailly when the birds are flying. Manual focusing is really challenging then.

@eudora Thank you so very kindly for the fav. I am glad that I kept these old lenses.
