PMAE No. 235

A controlled burn in progress. This is a method to burn off the under excess growth which helps with reducing the fuel that wild fires rely upon.

By the time I got home, the smoke from this was covering most of Flagstaff. There is also a brush fire on the other side of the San Francisco Peaks that is adding to this.

Very very grateful for all the kind comments, thank you.
Very cool....Off the grid!

Lovely composition, those muted colours are very attractive. We have controlled burns here too for exactly the same reason.

Hey, what river is that?

@pickerandagrinner So happy to see you back. Thank you so kindly for the fav. This color of smoke is okay, and helps stops really ugly fires.

@golftragic Thank you so very much for the fav. The brush fire that I mentioned was started by a person who had a burn permit but unfortunately the fire got away from him. Why they are issuing burn permits at this point is beyond me.

@blueberry1222 Truly appreciate the fav. This is Lower Lake Mary just outside of Flagstaff.

@haskar Thank you so much.

@thistle Thank you a great deal, The fire season is in full swing around here and it going to be a most interesting time around here.

@graemestevens Thank you very kindly for the fav.

@ehamil1013 Thank you so very much and am honored by the following.

@pdulis Thank you so kindly for the fav. I think that infrared really made the blues just more intense than they were.

@ziggy77 Very grateful for the fav, thank you. The controlled burns are a daily occurrence but unfortunately we also have some unexpected brush fires too.

It’s a beautiful composition that really benefits from using IR. Otherworldly.

@taffy Thank you for the fav, the IR makes the colors so 'off' season but I like the details that it brings out.

@joysabin Once again, that sounds just like the way things work, or don't work in Oz. Every so often a so-called controlled burn gets away so badly it causes a major bushfire with huge damage.

Outworldish

Good to see more IR shots from you.

@domenicododaro I love how IR makes some of the normal things just different enough.

@yrhenwr Thank you, I love exploring IR and its universe.
