I saw these at the Mission yesterday.
These lovely water flowers are growing in the same fountain as the water lillys. I have no idea what they are called. And of course after my tweeking, they are not even the same color.
These are absolutely "delicious"! They look like little candles set afloat on an inky sea! When we meet again, I'd love to see what lens your're using and learn a bit more about your post processing. I'm not looking to copy, but I'd love to understand how you achieve this! It's just magnificent!
@Weezilou Thanks Louise! The lens I was using is my favorite Nikon 18-200. You can copy all you want. I use photoshop elements and Topaz apps. Topaz has a fabulous app for de-noising photos. It's called Topaz De-Noise 5. I also use Topaz Adjust 5 which does a multitude of artistic tweeking for me. On my photoshop elements is a category called Render which is all about adjusting light. For me, processing my photos is fun and relaxing. Or maybe its fun and the relaxing part is when I pour myself a glass of wine.
@joysfocus Thank for your generous reply Joy! Taffy Raphael, in Chicago, whom I follow, *loves* Topaz, and like you, her photos are incredible! There must be something between the two of you to recommend it! I'm with yuo about processing photos! I've spent two days doing nothing but that as I have SO MANY photos I never used over the past months (read: years!) I did make more meringues for the men working in the yard and for friends we'll be meeting for dinner... FYI, I added a dab of red food color for pink meringues... Working in a hospital, I'm sure you have no end to the people who would love to have some from you!
