Curious Things

I don't know what these are but I suspect they were used to mine gold.

Nice capture of the "things". Can't tell what the things would be used for.

I think you're right. The water wheels like this one were called hurdy gurdies and probably provided power to operate the other contraptions. I think the one on the right is a pump and there were probably belts that connected all of the wheels somehow. Nicely preserved - and photographed too!
