But you KNOW I'd love to have one! There's just something so wonderfully slow and prehistoric about the beauty of them! Did you get to hold one while you were there? (They have a really nice weight and texture to them...quite unlike holding a cat!)
@Weezilou Yes they ARE so prehistoric! This one looked to be about 3 feet long from head to tail. There were many of them living in the trees near a harbor. I would not want to hold one though. I've heard they have a bite like a pitbull and won't let go. Ewwwwh!
@joysfocus That bite description probably keeps tourists from trying to pull them down out of the trees!!! The ones I've encountered have been pets and used to being held... they really do have a unique feel and weight when holding them! SO HAPPY for you that you had such a nice get away! (Our next stop, Costa Rica!)
