This is Breech Wood today as I walked along the still, quiet paths in the dappled light. I didn't see a soul as hardly anyone ventures here because most days the military firing range is in operation....then the tracks are barricaded off, the stillness replaced with hurrying army vehicles, and the quiet shattered by repeated rounds of gunfire. So it's a rare treat to find it open and looking as lovely as it is today.
