Lady's Smock (Cardamine pratensis) by julienne1

Lady's Smock (Cardamine pratensis)

Also known as Cuckoo Flower because it tends to coincide with the cuckoo's return. This is just starting to flower across the Somerset Levels where the wet conditions suit it best - and very beautiful it is too!
Beautiful flower and color.

Wonderful lighted capture against the green background. The delicateness of the petals and details are portrayed well..

We are about 6 weeks away I'd before we see any. Might be why we see so few cuckoos.
