As I was walking around my friends garden I spied this beautiful Tree Dahlia.. this is over 6 foot high and looked lovely against the bare tree branches behind it...
@nickspicsnz They are lovely.. grow like a regular dahlia but reach for the sky and have woody stem, they are quite oldfashioned and so are often seen around old houses.. have not seen one like this before .. usually pink/mauve colour and single.. worth growing if you have some where a bit sheltered.
@maggiemae At the time of taking the photo I said to my friend .. 'pity there is not a blue sky behind it'. but was pleasantly surprised when I processed it.. thanks for the comment and fav
