This week in 'Volunteer Week'.. and today my friend Lyn and I did our monthly job as delivering Meals On Wheels.. We have been doing this for about 20 years and find it very rewarding.. One lady that we deliver to is the Grand old age of 106.. she is an amazing lady and was very interested in our little helper today.. Granddaughter Shay joined us and was a little ray of Sunshine to the people today..
Good for you - and for so long! I've been thinking about doing this but holding back because I don't want to be relied upon. I daresay there is someone who can take over if I can't do it! Great to hear about this!
@maggiemae I am sure you would find it rewarding.. we just have a turn once a month and It is a set time so you can normally work around it.. takes just over an hour here..
Well done you! Not only being so community-minded but also modelling such good deeds to the young children. She is very cute and I am sure she was much appreciated by those you visited.
