Waikato River.. Low tide..

I went down to the Forest and River this morning to get some practice with my new lens .. 14-24 Nikon 2.8.. like how I could just about sit on this log yet get all of it in frame.
The river hills are looking very green at the moment, so lets hope it stay's that way for a while..
The other side of the river is the tiny settlement of Port Waikato and it is becoming a very popular place for holiday makers and has a great surf beach where the river meets the sea..
