Brooks beach... by julzmaioro

Brooks beach...

While @dide and I were on our early morning shoot at Brooks Beach some stunning light started to hit the cliff's just after sunrise.. The light was really highlighting the layers in the cliff face and I am impressed with the strength of the young Pohutukawa tree that is hanging on for grim death the the cliff face .. Let hope it can get a firm hold so that it goes on to flower at christmas time..
Yes - that tree is amazing the way it has fallen down, yet somehow still survives. I love the way the light is hitting the cliff face.

The light is lovely. We have one of your beautiful Pohutukawa trees growing in our front yard. I love the aerial roots hanging from it's branches.

It will look rather spectacular hanging over the sea when it's full of red flowers...a trip back perhaps?

The lighting in this scene is quite ethereal. It really does bring out the layers in the cliffs and creates beautiful patterns in the sea as well.
