Winter on the beach...

No matter what time I went down to the beach there were plenty of people haveing fun.. It is the middle of winter at the moment and we experienced so very cold days last week .. but kids were still in the water .. This is Clark Island which is a real landmark at Whangamata..

People walk the beach here in winter but when the temps drop to freezing the walking in the water bare foot stops. Lovely scene

I know this beach so well Julz! You didn't happen to walk along the beach & notice a red & green rather old fashioned beach house towards the southern end furthest away from the town? We have stayed there so many times.
