Richard...

While having a walk around the Wharf today we met several interesting characters, this is Richard, he is a Commercial Fisherman, and he was on the wharf this morning getting the boat ready to go out to sea again tomorrow. He told us he is 63 and said he has been on the boats all his life.. He was very passionate about his job..
I have seen this guy round the wharf area too Julz ...he is a character, Did you have fish & chips & perhaps go in that wonderful pottery place? I bought a deep turquoise bowl there & got it home in one piece, will look stunning this summer with salad in.

@happypat That's funny, yes he was a very friendly character, and he spoke to us 1st, I think he was keen for his photo to be taken.. no didn't do the fish and chips there as we had just had breakfast, but word has it they are very good. I went into the Pottery place and I loved that turquoise bowl.. but George was with me... "Do you really need it"...!!!

Fantastic shot - love the b&w processing - a lovely portrait with enough background boat to add to the story. fav

Black and white worked great with this portrait. He looks like a man that spend his life on a boat.
