Stanley is excited to be going to meet the Labour Party leader Jacinda Ardern on Thursday. To wish her luck in the upcoming New Zealand election he will give her this picture of one of the stone carvings he did as a young man whiling away his hours on the coalmine weighbridge. The sculpture itself is exquisite, done only with a filed nail, the detail is incredible. He says it felt like the inspiration for his carvings didnt come from himself but rather through him, like he entered a transcendent state. Such a lovely man.
