Yesterday (Monday, Dec. 22) was a grey, rainy, chilly day. Today (Tuesday, Dec. 23) was completely different - sunny and relatively mild for December in Chicago, 50F/10C. I stopped at St. James Farm Forest Preserve just for a few minutes on my way to work to take a look around and snap a few photos. The farm was owned by the McCormick family (of International Harvester) who were horseback riding enthusiasts. The last surviving family member to live on the property (Brooks McCormick) transferred it to DuPage County in 2000.
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
