At the supermarket

I went to a new supermarket. I’m not sure what these are, but their color and texture caught my attention. They were with dragon fruit and other international items.

@ludwigsdiana It’s just a big new grocery store. I was looking for a cantaloupe and these were right across the aisle. The chain’s owner got his start running a produce stand.

I found out on line these are rambutan- you cut into it to get to the fruit which tastes like grapes. The fruit is cooked into jelly.

Those are Rambutan`s. Peeled they looks like and taste very simmilair to Lychees.

I love how they look. Whenever I see these fruits, I want to stick a pair of eyes on them - they would look very funny, like creepy little creatures from outer space :D
