That time of year in New Hampshire, USA.
NJ Gov Chris Christie visiting local pizza joint
Which means we gotta go somewhere else
Damn, miss the $4.75 lunch special
A marvelously bright window into your corner of the world. I confess that I'm ready for "real change" this time, but I can't stand that we have to go through all the rhetoric again when it only seems like we just did it... ok...starts making me grumpy... next picture, please...
@Weezilou Yeah, I agree, but I like the idea that the next president has to eat the same pizza as me to get elected. I may be simple but I like simple sometimes ;)
...ah...yes...campaign time. I say better you than me! And, yes, I bet the bridges were closed. Likely to be closed again many times before the polls close. Baton down the hatches, my friend!
@kevin365 Can't believe I'm returning to "the photo that made me grumpy"... Ok, here's what your comment made me think... I agree, "let him eat pizza with me...she me he's a common and humble man". NOW...make him like the Pope and have him prove his worth as truly one of us! (Does that work for you? And I'm not even Catholic, but I like the new head of the church!)
@Weezilou A) I love Pope Francis, he calls it like he Sea's it (pardon the pun) 2) I'm a long time ago alter boy for the Catholic Church and appreciate the difference III) He has stated His love for pizza. I really feel that elections here should be messy and frustrating and inconvenient, otherwise it would be difficult to tell us apart from the rest of the world :)
@kevin365 You always make it impossible to argue your logic! In a way, one of the things I love about our time in Lunenburg is the amazing political discussions we have with friends there and the insights they bring to the table! There, "the table" is often made up of friends from South Africa, England and Australia as well as a few Canadians! I'm always humbled by how much they know about American politics and how passionate they are about what happens in America! It gets quite lively sometimes...ha! And then Ken and I go home and ponder it all into the wee hours! Very stimulating!
@Weezilou Grand Experiment to Jefferson and worst democracy in the world except compared to every other, in the words of Sir Winston. Those conversations must be amazing! Thank you for sharing!!
@kevin365 Yep! Amen to that! And about those conversations, they're never one-sided, so it tests the metal of all present to think clearly and select the wording well! Only once did I see a dinner guest totally make a fool of himself (on the first night we'd met him)...he was an embarrassment to all present. I suppose that would take more explaining than I have time for or you might even care to hear, but once again , it's a friendly and/but challenging brain game!
@kevin365 "Eating pizza and prepping for a Canadian summer"! I need to be on my toes for those continuing conversations! (I mean, seriously!) It's always fun, Kevin, and thanks!
