The Waiting by kevin365

The Waiting

Kills
Souls, and people die
In the waiting
And I understand why

Spoils
The best laid plans
In the waiting
With nowhere to land

Destroys
The dreams of finer men
In the waiting
Never seeing the When

Tests
The mettle of one's dreams
In the waiting
So much longer than it seems

Answers
The prayers of mortal men
The waiting
Helps you begin again

Sets
The concrete of the steadfast
In the waiting
And this must surely last

The Waiting
The nightmare and the bliss
In the waiting
We realize what truley is
Jae
I couldn't agree with these words more. I don't know how many times I've kicked myself and probably will continue to for the dammed decision to wait. And yet....sometimes the waiting proves beneficial and brings what is most wanted.

I see the thread of a theme this evening... You always read like a captivating book... I could write more, but best I stop there...

@Weezilou Yes, Ma'am. I read like an open book, with a few pages stuck togethah :) Never stop, if you're of a mind to continue. Best part of this space! I really appreciate you. And thank you

@kevin365 If I say too much, I might spill the beans...or come away with egg on my face! How's that for crappy writing?! My 8th grade English teacher would have covered my offering with red marks! (Wasn't that fun! Here's to you...well there you are...I can't even remember your name, but you were always on my case!)

@Weezilou we all have one - mine was Cranky Cronk the sewing teacher - ambidextrous I sewed with the devils hand - she was always making unpick my work
