On the Passing by kevin365

On the Passing

Lookin' down at the street, I saw
Remains of what there was.
Sadness, perhaps, misplaced
At the meaning. And the cause.

There is nothing after death, here.
No reconciliation of yesterday.
No recompense of what there was.
No matter what they say.

Don't take it bad now.
Don't let it be more
Than the leaving of the moment.
It's happened before.

Lookin' down at the street, I saw
Remains of what was there.
But I'm a gentle man, by nature,
And I cry because I care.
Jae
