First Child, moving into first apartment, off campus, for senior year.
She picks great friends, makes good choices, moves in a direction that makes her happy, does what needs to be done and, if she happens to find a discarded tutu, she puts it on.
I would pick her, every day, to be my daughter.
Ya know, Kevin, the boy approached me last night and pointed out that I'm not only mom but teacher, counselor, vocational coach, and some things he doesn't have words for yet but he'll get back to me. It's moments like these - mine with the boy and you with #1 - that allow me to know we've done a good job. All the hard work has and is paying off. Congrats to your daughter. Congrats to you. Revel in the moment! You've done good!
@voiceprintz Ha! Yes! I am sure that you are all that :) Looking back I only remember how much fun that I had with Sam, so, really, it couldn't have been that hard. Very fortunate! And thank you SO much for sharing!!
Oh the wonderful memories this brings flooding back! It just makes me smile to know the happiness she brings to those around her, and the playful moment you captured speaks volumes for how she sees you as well! I just feel good about how things are going for you when I see a photo like this...
