This is a much more interesting composition. Cropping out part of the ball creates some tension, and the balance between light and dark is more even. Nice picture.
@danielwsc Thanks! Actually like this one a bit more but the ball looked odd. Wasn't cropped, was shot that way. Liked it for the shadows actually created by putting open fingers over flash :)
