As in the project folder, I could not stop being surrounded by this sweet scent! And didn't want to give short shrift to the pink ones :) Odd trees that don't carry leaves and blooms at the same time but I wasn't there for the photos, that scent is intoxicating. (Best viewed large for the smell.)
Thanks to @m9f9l I know now that this is a magnolia. One of the many things that I have learned from her :)
@m9f9l Meant the other folder where you first called me out! :) This one has been fixed now, too. Just can't bring myself to re-naming the pic. I want to remember this exchange :)
My friend from Wisconsin told me the other day "those are NOT magnolias, they are tulip trees!"LOL Some people reserve "magnolia" for the southern tree with the big flat white flowers. But aren't THEY silly, the tulip tree is ALSO a magnolia. And this picture looks like a pink star magnolia..although it seems a very dark pink.
