Last Word Blues

Well I'll be back someday, baby
Jus to pick up my clothes
Yeah, I'll be back someday, baby
Jus to pick up my clothes

What you want from me ain't nuthin
That I could ever know

Take a look at me , baby
This is all I'll ever be
Well, take a look at me, baby
This is all I'll ever be

If you're expectin' more, darlin
It all ends in misery

Yeah, I'll be back someday, baby
Jus to pack up my things
Well, I'll be back here someday, baby
Jus to pack up my things

Cause the things you want me stayin for
The Devil only brings

Inspiration comes from Champion Jack Dupree, born between 1908 and 1910 and died in 1992. A New Orleans blues and boogie-woogie pianist, a barrelhouse "professor". His father was from the Belgian Congo and his mother was part African American and Cherokee. He was orphaned at the age of two, and sent to the New Orleans Home for Colored Waifs, the alma mater of Louis Armstrong. Lived a life we could not understand but for the music. Listen :)
