When I was a small boy and words seem to matter, there was no end to the fascination between the capital letters and the punctuation.

The primitive thought writ large, on paper, mattered most of all.

Nuance beguiles and entendre's mystique can leave me forlorn and fuddle my mind.

Black type on crisp paper written last night to meet a deadline is what we started with, really.

Who, What, When, Where and How
And, sometimes, Why

Where have I been that I've missed so many of your posts? Were you here and I was not? I love words, text, type, fonts, calligraphy... I love them used subtly and artistically. I love them carefully phrased to send a message, I love your ability to make sentences vibrate with beguiling nuances. I love that I was raised in an era when handwriting and written words were important...back when the ability to communicate articulately was held in high esteem. We stand at a crossroads today, and I fear texting-without-nuance will send tomorrow's children back to the abyss of the Dark Ages... We've come sp far and will lose so much... Such a pity, if not actually a travesty.

@Weezilou Thanks! I think, for me, the nuance is there, but in a language I need to learn. We're human, so the need to connect and communicate is stronger than the means. Have no fear :)
