We have many of these flowers in our garden that bloom in the most gorgeous blue colour in spring time. However at this time of year, winter, they are dying off. I still manage to see the beauty in them though.
I agree with you - they still have such an interesting shape - and the few remaining individual flowers have an interest of their own. This has shown them very nicely.
