A water main broke in the middle of 21st Street last night near the Federal Reserve building. The ensuing geyser gave this nearby tree a lovely iced coating.
Beautiful capture, Karen! Ice sculpture!! I hope the sun melted the ice in time to save the tree from being damaged under the weight. p.s. unrelated, Deb and I need a little help with Downton Abbey. We're only on season 1, episode 4 and have a few questions...
@bluemoon Thanks, Paula. I agree. It was certainly unexpected. I think that the tree will be okay. It had started to melt a little by the time I was leaving work.
@davydo Thanks, Dave! The sun had melted some by the time I left work, but we have especially cold weather again. Today was warmer still. It's probably free of its icy prison by now. So, message me your questions about Downton Abbey through FB. ;)
