My granddaughter Peyton pestered me until I got out the paint pot. This is a little pet project we have been talking about since last summer. Peyton has named her Tania - so she was 'Tania the Turquoise Turtle' until the middle of the night when I woke up from a deep sleep and realised that Tania is actually a tortoise. The sleeping brain is such an interesting experience. I will post an update when Tania is fully 'dressed'.
Poppa said "turtles should be brown and green" - he has no imagination.
"turquoise tortoise" is a bit hard to say! But it is funny how the brain keeps ticking away - gives you great ideas in the middle of the night! Lovely project for the two of you.
@snaphappi Heehee - we were thinking of adding some sea glass and I have some greenish iridescent glass beads that might go well. She will be what she will be eventually.
@littleconnie It was much bluer than I remembered. It was one of those serendipitous paint toner mistakes but the paint can was on sale as I recall. I quite like it this blue but I have no idea what colour it was supposed to be.
Hello, again , Liana
I have gone quickly perused your project, though I am already familiar with your work since I follow you. I love the versatility of your project!
I did not see a still life per say so your challenge is to make a still life composition with at least five different objects that you have chosen and arranged yourself. Any objects are fair game, though I would prefer that you not do flowers or fruit / food ... everyone does flowers or fruit! Extra points if one or more of the objects are ones that you would not ordinarily think of combining with the others.
This is a challenge that I gave Felicity last week so I hope you do not mind getting a recycled challenge.
