We escaped lockdown to do a much needed essential trip to the supermarket. We had run out of coffee and chocolate! First trip in three weeks so I think we have done well to get our food to last that long.
On the way home I noticed this flag flying freely in the estuary.
3 weeks is a great effort - and without BOTH chocolate and coffee it was truly essential! It's good to hear that you are both well - N.Z. has handled the crisis so efficiently. :)
@robz Well to be honest - we had only run out of coffee the day before - and our neighbours had kept us supplied with chocolate. Also had plenty of red wine so it was not too hard to cope but.... fresh espresso coffee and dark chocolate was on the menu when we got home. Its quite stressful shopping these days. I hope you are doing well over there?
@kiwinanna Yes thanks Liana - we're luckily all well at the moment - well enough to see our new grandson ( Hamish - very cute too!) but we didn't go too near just to be on the safe side. Both our countries seem to have managed to keep people safe - the luxury of being islands I guess. We also really only go out for shopping - armed with sanitizer and swipes. Keep well and make sure not to run out of red wine! :)
@robz Congrats on a new grandson. I'm missing hugs with our grandkids but FaceTime is so good and we do share virtual hugs. I dropped some puzzles in to them yesterday - safely over their gate of course. No worries about missing out on red wine- especially those Australian merlots!
