A harvest of pumpkins

I found these hanging in my trees. It was an experiment to see if the self seeded plants would grow in a half mussel buoy hidden amongst the trees - and they did - well one did exceptionally well, the other two not so much. Great subjects to practice still life lightpainting with though.
you did well, my pumpkins were a dud again this year, but i got a few butternuts, one is huge and still on the plant, i hope it ripens in time

@kali66 I have never grown butternut though it is one of my favourites -next year perhaps. Good luck with ripening yours. That middle one was not ripe but it had been damaged so it found an alternative purpose in life.

LOL - I love your caption - not the usual thing you find hanging in your tree!

Love the composition and the lighting here to highlight the texture and shape.
A wonderful still life and A FAV!

@robz No it isn't but it does look funny until they get too heavy then I have to go hunting in the bushes to find them.

@farmreporter Thank you - I have been trying out light painting still life using only a torch (flashlight) which is quite tricky to do - but fun.
