Koala joey's ride on their mums back when moving from tree to tree or when tired. This joey is over 12 months old and spends some time away from mum feeding alone, but still hitches plenty of rides

Ah, what a wonderful sight. We see the occasional koala in trees not far from our place. where we walk our two dachshunds ( they are always on leads ) and they will stop at the base of trees and look up intently, sure enough there will be a koala sitting quietly :))

@hermann do your dogs like to eat the scats? I can't imagine the eucalypt taint in them ewwww! Dogs 'see' so much of the world we miss!

That's what makes me laugh when I look at this one, it seems like they are working as a team looking each way.
The tree is a Forest Red Gum and is pretty big, and right beside my kitchen window :)
