A shot from Saturday's Mini World Cup of Soccer. The boy in the green is probably the best on my son's team. He managed a couple of goals this weekend but was robbed of probably 15 others. The opposing teams had a good goalies and the nets were WAY smaller than what they are used to. He seriously hit the posts more than a dozen times. Thanks for your comments on yesterday's rain drop shot. My son's team won the game 4-0 and the sun did come out for the second half.
@sianipops I think because there were so many teams (96) spaced over three large playing areas, they had to reduce the playing area and with that went smaller goals. They were made out of 2x4s and didn't even have nets. It was tricky telling if the balls went in depending on our angle.
@kwind yikes, i am seeing balls crossing over from one game to another - suddenly one field has 2 balls in play. Oh that could be quite entertaining! What a lot of organization to get 96 teams playing.
Great action. You have a nice background. All I have for the soccer games here are wire fences, roads and electic wires and poles, and it makes framing shots the pits.
Great action shot. Both my sons played football as well. I love going back through years of photographs of them. Have you ever tried printing photo books for your kids?
@marie65 I have made photo books before for the kids but not specifically of their sports. I make one large year in review book which includes highlights from their swim meets and soccer tournaments along with life in general.
