The Lock-up - Bisley, Gloucestershire. by ladymagpie

The Lock-up - Bisley, Gloucestershire.

The Lock-up was built in 1824 to replace an older one which was in the village churchyard. Prisoners were held here overnight before being seen by the local magistrate. Drunks and prostitutes were released in the morning but the serious criminals were sent to a larger prisons, there fate unknown.

Sounds a bit like Blackpool on a Hen night or Stag night.
Love this bit of history. FAV
