Another view of Rodborough Fort situated 600 feet above sea level overlooking the town of Stroud. Also known as Fort George or Rodborough Castle it is actually a folly and originally built in 1764. The present building was built in 1868 by Alexander Holcombe and has been owned by many local businessmen up until today. Improved so much it is know occupied as a private home.
