Pillbox - A Reminder of WW11

Came across this pillbox as I crossed some fields near Tetbury in Gloucestershire. Looking at maps I noticed a disused airfield that was once known as RAF Long Newnton which was active from 1940 - 45 and was a reserve landing field for pilots under training.

These pillboxes were often built in strategic places nearby, just in case of invasion by the Germans, thankfully it never happened and lies unused in a corner of a field.

Much better viewed with the magnify button above the pic.
Like that a lot,, I have never seen a pillbox in brick all are usually concrete and yours seems bigger than standard also.

@philcameron59 There was coils of rusty original WW11 barbed wire in the entrance so I couldn't look inside.
