Hollyhocks - A roadside capture. by ladymagpie

Hollyhocks - A roadside capture.

Discovered this hollyhocks on the side of the road opposite my little bungalow, so I didn't have far to go. It has found a place between a telegraph pole and a wall and is starting to give a wonderful display. The yellow dots on the flowers is where the bees have disturb the pollen.

Very glad the local council have not cleaned the roadways paths this year or this plant wouldn't have nurtured. That's what you call flower power.

Wonderful photo.

Beautiful...have not seen a Hollyhock in such a long time. I can remember making Hollyhock dolls as a child...favorite memory.
