Who turns The River Thames on and off. by ladymagpie

Who turns The River Thames on and off.

This has nothing to do with the recent flooding but this is a look at the famous River Thames in Autumn and Winter.

This is in fact near to the source of the Thames, high up in the Cotswold Hills in a village called Ewen, about 1 mile from the river source. In Summer and Autumn you would think that someone has turn the tap off, and the Thames has dried up, but it soon changes in the Winter. You can follow a trail all along the river until you reach London.

Such a difference, is the winter shot a standard shot for the time of year or is there just too much water?
You practically have the same sky in both shots:0))

What a difference a season makes! Great comparison! And your mention of a trail along the river all the way to London sounds so appealing.

@carolmw @khawbecker @justaspark @thresheg Thank you all for your comment, yes there is a walk but with The Thames being so windy it is a very long path.

Two different places! Must be lovely to walk along the river, although I am not sure how long it would take you to get to London?

@happysnap @virtualbrownie @philcameron59 @elisasaeter @ubobohobo Thank you all for looking, I have walked quite a bit at our end of the river but the whole lots would take weeks.

Best not to build here in the summer - wet feet.
