Look what's at 36,000 feet above my home..

I've done one of these before and in fact this was captured a couple weeks ago when we had a blue sky. This plane is at 36,000 feet and is an Air Canada Boeing 777 going to Toronto from London Heathrow. I'm so good I can even tell you it is number C-FIUV traveling at 446 knots, my camera is clever isn't it.

So how do I know this from 36,000 feet below with my camera in my hand, well there is a programme called http://planefinder.net/ and if you zoom in to your area it will show you every plane that is flying near you. Then click on the plane and a box opens on the left of the screen and tells you everything that is going on with that plane.

I look up some rubbish stuff don't I but it's fun as well.
My hubby fuels his obsession with trains but all sorts of weird websites with that kind of information.....

Great shot from 36,000 feet and a beautiful blue sky as background for a white plane. I also like the planefinder link that you posted. Thanks for sharing!

Where would we be without the internet? The plane looks beautiful because it is mainly white and you can't see the windows - nice capture, Heather.

Fascinating to watch and learn what you're seeing, but the noise must be a bit daunting if you live right underneath it. Nice shot though. FAV
