The Fruits of their Labours. by ladymagpie

The Fruits of their Labours.

It is freezing outside, so it was so nice to be able to sit down in my friends kitchen drinking a nice hot cup of Earl Grey tea. I didn't fancy running around outside finding my daily 365 photograph.

As I've said before my camera is always beside me and I spotted these bright tomatoes (Tomayto or Tomahto depending which side of the Atlantic you are) sitting next to me on the kitchen table. My friend is still harvesting the fruits of their labours from the greenhouses, and don't they look lovely.

Did you know the tomato originated from the South American Andes and their use for cooking came from Mexico, not a lot of people know that,
A lovely capture. Fav

Is the BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) sandwich known in your parts? Delicious looking tomatoes always make me hungry for one.
