Well this is specially for fellow 365 friend http://365project.org/kathiecb who made a comment about my "Great Tree on the Hillside". yesterday. Her comment was "Wonderful light and colours. All this from a little nut." Yes I took the comment that she was calling me, the photographer, a little nut. (Wink)
I was actually out geocaching the other day and found this cache container under a bench in a local town. The right hand side of the nut is magnetic, so you can imagine this fixed against a flat metal post or bar that it looks a normal part of the fixture.
Once you found it you unscrew the nut off the thread and inside the threaded part is the log sheet, crafty isn't it. I took the photograph because the nut had rusted onto the thread and I couldn't get the log out to sign, this was just proof of my visit.
The fun of being a Mad Geocaching Pensioner, perhaps that's why I'm a little nut.
We've even found some that are not magnetic, but ones that you have to unscrew! We sometimes have to PAF for those types.
Those are tricky geocachers.
