A very kind friend came and visited me yesterday, and as she was away on my birthday she brought me these beautiful flowers, belated but very much appreciated.
Birthday presents are always special and these Pink Oriental Lillie's where so unexpected. Now I know she sees these pictures and reads the text, so do you think my kind words have earn't me any brownie points yet.
I better explain Brownie Points in case the phrase is not used in other parts of the world:
Credit for a good deed, as in "John earned a lot of brownie points for doing his boss's report for him". The term originated with the points earned for various achievements by the youngest group of the Girl Scouts, called Brownies.
Now I know about brownie points but didn't know their origins. Brownies always makes me think about itchy brown dresses and playing the memory game. Beautiful flowers
