Welcoming Tree to an Estate. by ladymagpie

Welcoming Tree to an Estate.

Firstly - thank you all for getting my opening Lily on the popular page this week, I don't get many so Thanks.

I was out and about and noticed this large tree at the entrance to a modern housing estate, it looked interesting so grabbed the camera for the photograph on a cold windy day.

Now I'm no expert on trees but I think this is a Silver Birch but if you know differently late me know what it is. There is one thing for certain, the tree was older than the modern houses so well done to the planners for leaving it alone.

Right back into the warm car and onwards and upwards to my next tree or find.

Best viewed with a black background.
The tree is such a focal point. Fav.

Is it a silver birch, Heather? It certainly is huge, well spotted and captured.

Reminds me of the river birches we have here. Very nice Autumn scene!

I agree with you. I am so glad the developers left it alone. Lovely grand tree and capture.
