Fowl Play. by ladymagpie

Fowl Play.

As many will know I'm a big follower of sport, be it football, rugby, cricket and even American football. It has to be a team sport with lots of contact and energy. I can't watch single sportsman or sportswomen such as golf, what's that all about, they whack a hard boiled egg around a field only for it to disappear down a hole. I wouldn't mind but all the holes are marked with a flag so they could bypass them easily. (Wink)

I digress, the commentators often mention FOUL PLAY, so this is my version of the saying. I can picture the chicken in the picture saying with the raided mallet, "So you think you're having chicken for Christmas dinner do you, just try it".

Now the truth, my late Sister Mo collected chickens in models, pottery and pictures, she loved them. This is one of her larger wooden models standing on her window ledge, just amused me and I'm so easily amused.
love it - Fav

Love the back story! I collect birds when on holiday and they live on the bird table by the window. Must "post" them one day.

Lol Quiet an attractive bird, although I do wonder how she plans to use the mallet. Nice capture and story.

@rosiekind @thresheg @woofandweft1 @carolmw @linnypinny Thank you for your comments and FAV's

@ceilidh I've just found out Margaret, a phone call from one of my Sisters friends, that the mallet in the chickens wing is a GLUE SPONGE she used to use in her crafts, so not such a dangerous chicken.

I could get stuck on it then! My sister @kelly2 has three fowl shots. Her very first one was her guard goose , later on some chickens and 3/4 ish days ago she had a swan eating from her hand!!
