Who remembers the early days of mobile phones, you could never get a signal when you wanted one. There was one occasion when I was out geocaching and I couldn't find the cache box anywhere. I knew a caching friend of mine that had already been there so I tried to phone her for some help.
You've got it, no signal. I got in the car and drove down to the next small village, again no luck so drove further along until I was able to phone her. So here is today's capture where I was stood right under the tower, so if I needed the phone there should be no problem. Unfortunately I couldn't think of anyone to phone at that precise moment.
Update on boiler, and this will make you smile. The Engineer came out again today to fit the new bits. After a couple of hours he switched it on and water was streaming outside from the new pressure relief valve. He phone his mate 6 miles away to see if he had one in his van and went off to get it.
Now the funny bit, he returned and stripped the boiler down again to find that he had only refitted the old one that he had taken out in the first place. After 4 hours he's gone hopefully the boiler is running.
A great capture and there are still some places here where phone coverage is questionable! Really enjoyed the boiler update! At some point, I started to lose faith in the engineer. LOL. I'm hoping you still have service this time tomorrow!
With my smartphone I can't get a signal in the house downstairs so I have to go up into the bedroom. However, I could get a signal anywhere in the house when I had a £15 phone! Glad you've got the boiler sorted out and this is a really nice shot against the blue sky - Fav
Nice photo. I once carried my brick sized phone on a backpacking trip against my friends wishes. Who do you think made the first call when we reached 9000 feet?
